Making the Cake

  7. Beat it with the mixer on medium.
  8. Add the contents to the two cake pans and put them into the oven.
  9. Put toothpicks in the center of the cake to offer a test of completion.
  10. Bake for 30-35 minutes. Pull the toothpicks out; if they are clean, the cake is done.
  11. Remove the cakes from the pans and set on a wire rack to cool.

What Frosting Do I Use?

Typically with a yellow cake, the type of frosting to consider is a chocolate frosting. The mixture of yellow cake and chocolate makes for a delicious mixture. However, vanilla frosting is not a bad idea as well. Another option is to go with a Pillsbury frosting that has sprinkles with it.
